The first phase of composting in the workshop of "Samsara" OOD begins with checking the composition, structure and quality of the raw materials, with which the company does not allow itself any compromises. A unique machine for Bulgaria for the preparation and mixing of raw materials for the production of mushroom compost. We do not forget that quality raw materials are not a guarantee of quality compost, but poor quality ones necessarily lead to failure for our customers. After the relevant laboratory analysis, our technologists select the appropriate recipe, taking into account the season and weather conditions. The preparation and mixing of raw materials takes place on a unique machine for Bulgaria, in which a system of dispensers ensures that the selected recipe is correctly implemented.

Composting in our company takes place in closed bunkers, in which the piles are constantly ventilated. Bunker composting is a guarantee of homogeneity of our product. In addition, in the bunker there is no possibility of anaerobic processes occurring at any point of the pile, which is a big problem with outdoor composting. In addition, the indoor process eliminates the risk of the compost becoming too wet or too dry due to changes in atmospheric conditions. The continuous injection of fresh air through the so-called "breathing floor" ensures the best possible conditions for the relevant microbiological processes and the accumulation of food for the mushroom mycelium. Temperatures are maintained within optimal limits, and there is no danger of either freezing or overheating of the pile.

The consultants and technologists of "Samsara" Ltd. have selected for the operation of their installations the most common and successful schedule for the second phase of composting. In our case, the second phase takes place in several sub-phases - stabilization, temperature increase, pasteurization - top point, decline, post-fermentation and cooling. Each individual stage is controlled by a modern process automation system and a complete computer record is made for each batch of the way in which the individual sub-phases have passed. The compost from the second phase, seeded with mycelium at a dose of 10 liters per ton, is machine-packed into briquettes measuring 550/400/230 mm. In its compost workshop, "Samsara" Ltd. also has the possibility of incubating the already seeded compost, but in Bulgaria there are still no mushroom farms equipped with the relevant machines for loading racks with movable bottoms.
